Welcome back to my 2019 Favourites series. This week goes to the podcasts because if there’s one thing I love, it’s a good podcast sesh!
Podcasting is a great medium. Unlike traditional radio, the presenters are free to say what they like so there’s a real sense of authenticity to each one and it’s as accessible as subscribing once and getting your favourite episodes directly to your ears.
If I’m honest, my own taste in podcasts is a complete mixed bag. I hop into thought provoking conversations or laugh ’til my hearts content with a dose of comic relief.
That being said, there’s such a high volume of podcasts nowadays that it can be overwhelming, so with that in mind, I whittled down some of the podcasts that I have been listening to this year.
They are…
The 2 Johnnies Podcast
Favourite episode: We Nearly Moved to America
Owning It: The Anxiety Podcast
Favourite episode: Coping Strategies with Melanie Murphy
The Shift
Favourite episode: Mum knows best. What should a mother and daughter chat about.
Dubland
Favourite episode: A Bit of Personal Humiliation, a Bit of Ranting, Back to Normal Anyway!
Ctrl Alt Delete
Favourite episode: Dawn O’Porter: Is Anyone’s Life As Perfect As It Looks?
Happy Place
Favourite episode: Hilary Rodham Clinton & Chelsea Clinton.
Feminists Don’t Wear Pink
Favourite episode: Saoirse Ronan and Sinéad Burke
Have you got into podcasts? If so, what ones do you listen to? Let me know in the comments below 😊
