Another month rolled in and with it came plenty of new music. We’ve seen album releases, and nostalgic band reunions and I, for one, have been loving it all!
The return of Jonas!
Sucker – Jonas Brothers
Oh yes, you better know I wasn’t going to let this one slide. My inner fangirl has once again resurfaced and the love that was strong for the Jonas Brothers has only strengthened.
You guessed it, my first music highlight of the month goes to the long awaited reunion of the Jonas Brothers and release of their new single Sucker. The Jonas Brothers’ music played a massive part in my childhood, and while I will always lovingly sing along to the absolute gems like Burnin’ Up, and Lovebug, I like how the band’s sound has matured and it makes me extremely excited for what’s to come. We, as Jonatics have grown, the Jonas Brothers as a band have too, so it’s only right that there’s also a shift in their music. Now excuse me while I try to squeeze into my 2009 Lines, Vines and Trying Times tour tee…
Wastetland, Baby! – Hozier
Back in Ireland, many the music fan would have had a strong sense of patriotism this month when we heard the news of Hozier hitting the no.1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
Our own very lyrical genius released his second album Wasteland, Baby! on March 1st and to see it gain the attention and rave reviews it deserves, not only nationwide, but state side too is magnificent. I feel like Wasteland, Baby is an album that needs to be listened to in it’s entirety to be appreciated as the beautiful piece of art it is, and that is why, rather than trying to pick three featured tracks to add to this month’s playlist, I am leaving the full album linked below.
This is March…
What songs have you been loving this month? Were you as excited to the see Jonas Brothers reuniting? Let me know in the comments below. 🙂
