Some months you have a whole playlist made up of singular tracks that you are loving collectively, others you’re just completely obsessed with one album and this was one of those months! Yep, my April playlist is dedicated to the one and only George Ezra and his latest offering ‘Staying At Tamara’s’
There is so much I love about this album, and apart from the appetising chorus of sing alongs like ‘Paradise’ and the gushy lyrics of ‘Hold My Girl’ what I really admire is George Ezra’s approach to writing so candidly about his struggles with anxiety, and how he presents these lyrics in an upbeat way on certain tracks throughout the album. This album feels like it’s almost reassuring you to think “Yeah, I have anxiety, or I get anxious but it’s okay, and all will be okay” If you’re having a bad day I would certainly recommend listening to this album for a little pick me up.
I’m not going to waffle on any longer, I’ve decided to let the album speak for itself, so turn the volume up, sit back and enjoy.
